My research activities investigate human memory with a particular focus on the following two topics :
- The retrieval of proper names in memory. Naming people is a linguistic ability that is fundamental in human everyday social life. Our research is aimed at characterizing the cognitive processing of proper names, in particular personal names.
- Identity and memory. We study both the self-reference effect on memory (self-related information is usually better remembered than information related to others) and the properties of non-believed memories, i.e. vivid representations that we do not consider to be true memories any longer.
